Although I regard robert redford as a great actor this was a surprisingly poor performance. predictable and formulaic it was obviously shot mostly in the studio. I couldn't engage with the sailor at all .
he was so stupid in everything he did that I wanted him to die out of pure frustration and boredom. not his ,mine.
