Review of All I See Is You (2017) by Mauro L — 23 Oct 2018
Gina and James, gynê and andrós, Eve and Adam, Anima and Animus, woman and man are the archetypes of vitality and sterility, stereotypical coupling of Eros and Thanatos. The director Forster even draws on the further cliché of the "caliente" Spanish female, moving from the parts of Carlos Saura's "Carmen Story" (1983), and fiddling with the special effects of photography to cite also one of the world classics of Spanish culture, "Abre los ojos". Soporific and completely predictable result.
