Review of All Good Things (2010) by Karina H — 09 Dec 2010
Terrific thriller about an unsolved mystery, a fascinating case, brought to life by a great cast, cinematography and script. Common complaint among reviewers and audiences is that this film doesn't wrap up neatly like typical cinema - but why should it be like typical cinema? is that what makes cinema good? This film did something different, which is admirable in its own right but also, I think, works, it leaves many loose ends unexplained, after all isn't that what makes a good mystery? If you liked the show unsolved mysteries, you'll love this, it just falls a bit short on the chilling atmosphere of the series and the other things is, not sure what the point of it all was, no insight or anything - but still very engaging.
