Review of All Good Things (2010) by Lamb F — 27 Dec 2010
Delving in as a viewer with the initial introduction reading "inspired by true events" was an immediate let down. If that had followed the film, I would have enjoyed this much more. The acting, the script, and so forth were well done.
However, being familiar with the story, the presumptions of one conflicts with the basic principle-"innocent until proven guilty". Though Durst is more than likely less than innocent, to demonize him without any factual evidence depletes from the film's merit (in my opinion).
I would have preferred to see the film prior to having any knowledge of the cases prior. If that had been the case, this would have been an eighty + % film. Best advice I can offer: Don't read up on the history regarding this film before watching.
