Review of All Eyez on Me (2017) by Daniel V — 27 Jun 2017
I get the glossed over thing. I get that it seem to cut away when we were going to get a much deeper look into this complex sometimes troubled always brilliant genius. I love Pac. I saw the video for Brenda's Got A Baby and the next time mom went to the mall(I was 13 at the time) I bought 2Pacalypse Now when cds still came in those unnecessary rectangular cardboard boxes.
No this movie isn't as powerful or complete as Straight Outta Compton but the mesmerizing performance by Demitrius Shipp Jr and the sound of Pac's music bumping in that theater kept me in a trance for all 2 hours and 20 minutes of it.
My eyes glistened a couple of times because it felt like I was spending time with an old friend I lost. One we all lost. One thing this movie achieves, it reminds me of how important this entertainer was to me and to the world.
I really miss you, Pac.
