Review of All Eyez on Me (2017) by Joe B — 27 May 2018

All eyes on the empty seats in the theater. Of course the soundtrack is amazing, the actor selected to play Tupac amazing, however the movie itself left me kind of unfulfilled. A huge fan will not leave learning anything new, his music catalog tells a better story than this movie.

It felt like a behind the music renactment of the life and times of Tupac. I would only recommend this movie to people just discovering who this iconic rapper was. For those of us who grew up during this time period, this film just reminds us how senseless and unfortunate his life was cut short.

Overall the hype didn't live up, however the lead actor almost makes the price of admission worthwhile. C+.
