Review of All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989) by Alexander D — 13 Jul 2011
I loved this movie as a kid. I just watched it again for the first time in 12 years because I was nostalgic for it and I felt kind of depressed after it was over. Is it a comedy? Tragedy? Drama?
When Charlie died at the end, it kind of left a little bit of a void feeling in me. I wanted to yell out, "CHARLIE IS THE ONLY LIKABLE CHARACTER IN THIS MOVIE! HE CAN'T DIE!!" So, basically this is just a big depressing excuse for a kid's movie, and really does deserve the low ratings it got. The ONLY saving grace is Burt Reynolds' voice acting.
