Review of All About Steve (2009) by Matthew H — 11 Dec 2011
This started off with some promise but slowly descended into a pit (no pun intended).
Sandra Bullock's character initially came across as interesting with all her facts and that job of being the creator of crossword puzzles for her local newspaper but as the movie went on she became slightly annoying and we didn't get to learn much about her. Also, Bradley Cooper, who is supposed to be an important character, doesn't get any development at all and doesn't do much to be honest.
The screenplay wasn't the best in the world either: it was tarnished with average dialogue and that one scene with average special effects. The overall story wasn't really fascinating either. It didn't seem to go anywhere and the resolution (ending) was either unclear or just plain stupid.
It's watchable with a few funny moments and interesting facts that you probably won't use in a normal day but I wouldn't really recommend it.
