Implying "cruelty as maturity in the modern world" may be an intense concept, but Iwai direction and vibrant soundtrack makes this blurry window to western teen culture chewable; showing a world where everyone looks for relief rather than "happiness", and the only path to reach seems through an exhausting wait.
