This movie was on AFIs top 100, but I think it didn't really live up to its expectations. While the story line is an intriguing one, the acting is too over the top. It was made in the 50s, for when that sort of thing was more acceptable, but judging it from this day and age, I'd say a remake could hide much more from the audience and make it for more real and relatable.
Not to mention the ending seems far too predictable.
