Review of All About Eve (1950) by {Nick Tcw} Happy & Anxious. — 04 Dec 2008

So very very smartly written. This movie proves that movies do not necessarily need fancy editing, grand effects or a provocative premise to be excellent. It simply needs to tell a story that is interesting and sharp.

Something Lars von Trier tried (and failed in my opinion) to do with the critically overrated Dogville. The fact that it is really well acted doesn't hurt it either.
