Review of All About Eve (1950) by Erin L — 07 Jan 2010
Wonderful, simply wonderful. Fantastic script, great ensemble cast and beautiful costumes and sets. Bette Davis is just perfect (isn't she always?) as Margo and Anne Baxter, although she does 'ham it up' ever so slightly, is brilliant as her would-be usurper.
Considering the fact this movie is 60 years old, it has aged well and still has a ring of truth about it in today's society - where people will do anything for their 15 minutes of fame.
