Review of All About Eve (1950) by Josh M — 10 Jun 2013
"All About Eve" is probably the best classic movie I have ever seen thus far--but probably just because of Bette Davis. But seriously, what movie better illustrates all of life, the cunning talents of a person, especially that of a woman, when it comes to competition and ambition, and world of theater itself, than this 1950 Award-winning classic? One of my favorite quotes: "I shall never understand the weird process by which a body with a voice suddenly fancies itself as a mind. Just when exactly does an actress decide they're her words shes saying and her thoughts she's expressing?...It's about time the piano realized it has not written the concerto.".
But then again, it's just probably Bette Davis.
