Review of Alive (1993) by Kurt C — 08 Jun 2011
Everyone should see this Movie, it is Life Changing. This is a True Story of Survival & what lengths people have to go to to Survive. This Rugby Team Crashed in the Snowy, freezing Mountains of the Andes, no rescue came after 2 months, & Yes, it is a Story of Cannibalism, but not like you think. These People had already died, only teenie tiny portions of their buttocks were taken, it was their only way of getting sustenance, they had no choice. This Story is about so much more, it is about Courage to Survive. Two of the Bravest, after 2 months & Winters Months Coming & clearly no one looking for them, went for help.Weak, Frost Bitten, & and an Impossible, Long, Treacherous Journey, ,if memory serves, it took weeks. The Follow Up Story on these Men is also good, these Men were Hardy, & just Refused to Die.They all became VERY Successful After this Experience. There are very few people that would have what it takes to Survive this Ordeal.
Side Note: Cannibalism throughout History was very much practiced on Ships at Sea, Laws had to be Passed addressing what Circumstances it would be Acceptable.
