Review of Alita: Battle Angel (2019) by Dafater — 01 Apr 2019
I don't know why, I just love this movie, to the point of obsession. This is the same situation when I first found Star Wars back in middle school. I really hope Jimmy boy push for a seuqel. Robert did a good job revising his script and directing the movie. Rosa is fantastic, Alita feels so real my mom thought the 'address' got cosmetic surgery to get eyes that big.
It's not only the CGI, it's emotions, she just feels so real.
The plot involves every characters introduced, which is outstanding because in mangas, the characters are mostly within their own arcs, which is also why anime or manga adaptations usually are horrible.
I know the ending sets up the next movie, but that's just how serial works. Most western showed are episodic, and that urks me too when I first came to the states and start watching the cartoons. We in the east are used to serial shows that always leave you hanging at the end.
