Review of Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007) by Chads. — 01 Jan 2008
"Alien vs. Predator: Requiem" reminds me of Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles" when the fourth wall was broken and the diegesis (in the case of the 1974 comedy classic, the film world of the old west) spilled over into other movie sets.
The cowboys fought among themselves, but soon found themselves knocking out the extraneous bystanders. That's exactly what "AVPR" is like. The aliens from "Alien" and the creature from "Predator" are interrupting another movie already in progress(take your pick: a teen romance or a domestic drama) as their personal agenda gets sidetracked by those pesky humans.
