Okay, so it talks about aliens in the end. So what? I think the film does have a point: to reach beyond the current facts is wise because you never know what could lie in the future. I saw the extended version and a lot of it did not have anything to do with underwater creatures.
Still, I learned to appreciate this film because I got to see the hardwork scientists and explorers go through in order to accumulate knowledge for the rest of the world. A good film if you just feel like sitting on the couch while eating ice cream on a rainy day.
