Review of Aliens of the Deep (2005) by Private U — 14 May 2008
So I like nature documentaries. Shoot me! It's not bad, but DAMN! This would look ZILLIONS of times better on a Blu-Ray disc. Disney needs to issue it in that format (I still like HD DVD, but Disney signed on to BRD, so oh, well).
..anyhow...it'd look mind-numbingly awesome in 1080p. I watched in on standard DVD in 720p, and it wasn't exactly awe-inspiring. The theatrical version is much better. The extended version LAGS LIKE ALL HELL for the last thirty minutes.
But I do like the balance of aliens in space and aliens in our own oceans.
