Review of Aliens (1986) by Vulvurat — 22 Aug 2017
Aliens. Wow. I'm not sure what people thirty years ago were expecting from this movie, but it must have exceeded all their expectations, because Aliens is a sequel even better than the brilliant first movie, and also possibly the greatest action film of all time.
Seriously, my heart was pounding from the first shot to the ending credits as our characters suffered through terrible, frightening, disgusting confrontations, battles with these nightmarish, insect-like aliens.
There is something in this movie so epic and memorable that I literally can't get bored of it. Also, I must praise the acting of Sigourney Weaver, who was great in Alien (1979), too, but has grown brilliant in this sequel that challenges her character so many different ways.
Aliens is an intense, exciting action-horror but also a human drama and reflection on human values. A forever classic.
