I understand why this could be off-putting to some; it's in an entirely different league of the first but is IMO just as good. It strikes a much more visceral chord without sacrificing much of what made the original suspenseful.
Action and special effects supported by solid characters and story telling. The best sci-fi/action/horror film ever made.
