After the success of the first film, who better than James Cameron to take Ridley Scott's place and bump up the stakes in this action-packed sequel. Set 50 years after the events of Alien, Ripley is awakened from cryo-sleep to find that a terraforming colony has been overrun by horrific alien creatures.
The stakes are raised higher when a lone survivor, a little girl, is rescued and defended by the marines sent to deal with the problem. The film is exciting, interesting, terrifying, and overall enjoyable to watch.
Probably my favorite film of all time.
