Review of Aliens (1986) by Nicholas G — 27 Nov 2015
This movie is an adrenaline pumping, testosterone fueled, balls to the wall ACTION MOVIE. This is a very different movie from the first one, where the first was all about tension and had only one alien, this movie is more about action and has more aliens.
This movie is directed by James Cameron and thank you for giving us two of the greatest action movies and sequels of all time. Ellen Ripley the film's main protagonist starts off as an unwilling hero but throughout the course of the film develops into a bad ass.
People's main issue with this movie is that it ruined the first movie because the aliens in this movie were killed off easily whereas in the first one the alien caused more havoc by itself. True but you have to take into account that in the first movie they had no weapons and the crew were just regular people meaning they were not trained in combat and it was the first time that a creature of this kind showed up.
In the second movie however they hired trained soldiers who had experience with combat and they also had many weapons and Ripley who had previous experience with the alien led the way and in some ways knew what to expect.
This is one of the greatest action movies of all time 5/5.
