Review of Aliens (1986) by Eric V — 01 May 2016
How can you improve on an almost perfect film? By making it louder! Actually, there's a lot more going on in this film, but I noticed something different this viewing. Cameron wrote a script that hits all the big moments from Alien, and directly relates everything to its protagonist this time, Ripley.
By giving us a character we can stand behind, we can involve us more strongly in the humans' plight, unlike the ensemble original.
