While Alien is one of the major examples of how to create something big and a mithology "to-be-narrated", my favourite work by Ridley Scott, cured in all its details and in the building of a slow paced fear atmosphere most of the modern movies fail to achieve, James Cameron's sequel miserably fails: awknoledging of the existence of a sequel makes fans of 1979's masterpiece wonder in a long-term saga that must be awesome , but minute after minute Aliens makes you aware that you're just watching an action, war-ego-masturbating disappointment, based off of everything Ridley Scott struggled to ponder on and build: Fear, accuracy in the details and taking for granted the inventions of the futurw the characters use;.

Ripley uses a well built rig in this sequel and instead of just not focusing on it,like it's a normal thing in the future, they zoom in every part of the rig to let everyone see how good they were by inventing it. And the space void. THE SPACE VOID. Ripley in 1979's Alien doesn't dress up in a space suit when she discovers of the xenomorph in the pod just because she didn't want to fight nipples-out, but because she knew she would have opened the door. Ridley builds this scene perfeclty instead of how Cameron does. Remember Ripley puts the cat in the cryo-sleep before she knew of the alien? Attention to details. Cameron's Ripley opens almost impulsively the door and takes her time running out the Rig (finely breathing).

The two stars are just for the great ideas and characterization of the xenomorph's society and mother. This thing made me sad and an Alien orphan.
