Review of Aliens (1986) by Jeremiah F — 03 May 2018
By far, in my opinion, the best of the Alien films. James Cameron amazingly and skillfully mixes comedy, action, drama, and horror to create a never before seen blend of pure genius that utterly surpasses the original.
This is no dumb action flick, the first shot is fired halfway into the movie, but instead more a subtle drama with action and horror factors that increase its effectiveness and drown away the dull moments of Ridley Scott's Alien.
The cast is superb, especially Sigourney Weaver and Carrie Henn, both of whom deliver in their roles as tear jerking but strong and resilient heroines.
