Review of Alien Resurrection (1997) by Ross E — 18 Oct 2011
Follows the lead of Aliens, so I would say we have Cameron's silliness to thank for this abomination if not for Weaver's producer credit, and Alien Resurrection should be treated the same way the horrendous offspring was treated in the movie; Weaver's super-Ripley is goosebumps cheesy, Perlman is just alright, and Ryder is out of place; nothing new, nothing interesting, nothing gained, and a lot lost, what could have been, this movie did more damage to a high potential franchise than Phantom Menace, and deserves a thrashing.
