Review of Alien Resurrection (1997) by Craig W — 17 Jun 2012
Actually not as bad upon a third viewing, I don't care for the Ripley clone stuff but again the aliens display their intelligence and skill, they look better here and the underwater scene is really quite intense, being trapped underwater is bad enough but having two Xenomorphs who glide through it and can seemingly breathe easily is terrifying.
Good casting of Perlman and Dourif (two favourites of mine) and the Xeno created from Ripley is both pretty cool and absolutely horrifying, I actually felt a little sorry for it at the end. When you think of it the thing was just a little child that didn't know right from wrong and as it's torn open and its organs are all sucked out into space it's a little sad.
