Review of Alien Resurrection (1997) by Danny O — 08 Aug 2015
Alien Resurrection is a sign that this once promising franchise needs to die. The plot is so stupid it's unbelieveable it was green lit. You've literally seen everything in this movie before, but actually done well.
The action is so ridiculously over the top cheesy and the dialogue is so corny. There are so many plot holes in this film I won't even begin to mention them. It's not scary, entertaining, or well made.
It's quite simply, an embarrassment to the series. The only good things are Sigourney Weaver, and some decent effects and set designs. It has some fun action sequences, but they get so goofy and you get that "been there done that" feeling.
Alien Resurrection gets 1/5 stars (D).
