Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Bgirl — 19 May 2017
Ridley needs to step away from this franchise and let someone else take over. This film is a Prometheus sequel and not an Alien prequel. The characters still do dumb things inexplicably. It also ruins the life cycle of the alien that Alien and Aliens setup.
Ridley doesn't understand what made those two films great. He stubbornly wants to tell this story about creation. Also, not recognizing that it is the Ripley character fans care about and not the androids.
Fox should not green light his next two prequels. Instead they should explore the Neil Blompkof ideas to pick up after Aliens.
