Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Rs L — 06 Jun 2017
First off, this movie is the sequel to Prometheus. I wish someone had been nice enough to tell me that, considering I thought Prometheus was a hot mess. Alien Covenant? Why? The actual real ALIEN doesn't show up for an hour and a half.
And when did the alien ever have to be more than the perfectly evolved killing machine they found back in Alien and Aliens. Why does it now have to the result of the synthesized work of an android tinkering with an advanced civilization's biological weaponry mixed with human experimentation and other alien worm creatures..... It's all beginning to sound like a bunch of MIDOCLOREAN shit.
If I had to say something nice I'd say it was visually appealing at times, but for the most part I went from bored to confused to grossed out, never really scared.
