Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Steve J — 20 May 2017
The biggest challenge for this movie is that it comes with the expectations of the other movies and it is just a bit different. It doesn't have the same heart pounding intensity of the other movies. It feels a but more like an action movie than a thriller. There are still a number of scenes where I literally jumped in my seat. But there was just never that period of adrenaline pumping, on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.
Overall good, but not great.
On a side note, who knew that Katherine Patterson was not Maura Tierney. She looks identical! I totally thought that it was Maura Tierney.
