Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Ravissary79 . — 21 May 2017
Fusing Alien's darkness and suspense with a little of Cameron's Aliens action and a lot of Prometheus' philosophy and atmosphere and you've got a solid if imperfect new Ridley Scott Alien film.
The characters, sets, cinematography and plot are all fantastic, though the pace plods in bits. Even so, Fessbender sells the slow bits with two powerful performances. Waterson lapses between likable everywoman with potent pathos and mildly annoying ineffective swearing in an unlikely bowl cut someone should be fired for.
All in all its a movie I'm glad I saw twice.
