Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Jacob M — 29 May 2017
Ridley Scott keeps proving that he is back! Covenant returns to the alien horror while it keeps asking deep questions like Prometheus did. The visuals are, yet again, breath taking on this new world that inhabits remaining crew from the Prometheus.
The surprising stand out in this new adventure is not Katherine Waterstone, which I expected, but Danny McBride. Instead of being the typical funny man he plays a fairly straight laced dramatic character.
He is the character that, I think, most of us will connect with. Fassbender continues to flex his acting chops on the meaty role of playing two different characters. This just shows how talented the man really is.
If you are a fan of this franchise go see it while it is still on the big screen. Bravo Mr. Scott.
