Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Petros T — 05 Jan 2018
Your typical space horror opera complete with long intro on the spaceship, doomed expedition on unknown planet, ominous music and basic twist. But, although it doesn't bring any new tricks to the sci-fi table, what it lacks in originality it makes up for with genuine suspense.
From the first Alien's appearance and on, the tension levels are consistently very high, making this a very enjoyable space romp - although some more solid characters and a less sketchy premise would have gone a long way.
