Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Bill B — 21 May 2017
For shame, Ridley Scott - the storyline had a myriad problems, right from the start. After intelligent films like 'Ex Machina', 'Arrival' and 'Interstellar', this one plays out like a bad episode of first season 'Star Trek'. (seriously - the captain & second in command of a ship carrying 2000 colonists take the ship's solitary lander to the surface of a planet that's not supposed to be there... and walk outside with no bio protection or quarantine setup... and that's within the first 30 minutes??!!) Terrible!
I gave it one star only in recognition of past Ridley Scott pleasures.
