Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Sawyer W — 11 Nov 2017
Wow is this movie gory! Alien: Covenant is a link between Prometheus and the original Alien movies. This movie was very good. The directing, acting, score, and cinematography were what stood out to me the most.
Covenant was a scary movie. It had your heart beating at certain scenes. For me the most intense scenes were towards the beginning. I knew little what was going to happen and I was at the edge of my seat.
The new alien, the Neomorph, had a great design. Truly terrifying. The only flaw was the arc crossing over to Prometheus started off a little awkward, but got better as it went on. If you're a fan of Prometheus, this is, in my opinion, even better.
True fans will get every reference and some of the score too. If you get easily scared and don't like gore, this isn't the movie for you. Overall, I'll give Alien: Covenant a B.
