Review of Alien Autopsy: (Fact or Fiction?) (1995) by The V — 26 Apr 2014
This was way before Jonathan Frakes would be hosting a show that would be called 'Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction?'. The show was a popular series in the late 90s and was based as an anthology piece that discussed stories that were either true or false. It would be up to the audience at home to figure out which stories were fact and which were fiction. At the end of each show, Frakes would give the answers on which stories are true and which were false. It was a great interactive series that played with the audience when it came to certain stories that dealt with Urban Legends or stories about ghosts or other paranormal phenomenons. It was a lot of fun.
This however is very much fiction. It deals with the "actual footage" taken of an actual alien autopsy. The documentary (which aired on FOX) helped stir the pot even further of extraterrestrial beings in space. I admire it for how it's able to create a big lie so that those who are big sci/fi buffs or UFO fanatics can keep the dream alive! I am one of those people that do believe there are other beings in the stars above. There is too much space out there to not believe there are other things on other planets more advanced than us. This documentary is very funny though and to believe it's the real thing is stupid. As a piece of nostalgia, sure. Especially for those who miss the 90s.
