Review of Alien Abduction (2014) by Juli N — 08 Aug 2014
While relatively generic and extremely low budget, Matty Beckerman's Alien Abduction proves that not all found footage alien films need to suck. It's definitely not a good film, and the acting is downright abysmal, but the script is solid.
What separates this film from the bunch however is the manner it's filmed in. The direction is skilled and suspenseful, recapturing the lost art of found footage jump scares. Overall, this movie is pretty bad, but it's definitely one of the better found footage horror flicks in recent memory.
Genre fans will be pleased.
