Honestly, most movies have characters that are constant throughout a movie. If a creature is created on earth with alien technology, it is not an alien. And there is definitely a problem when your leading character is an ex-prostitute.
The creature just needed some skin lotion. They definitely saved all the special effects till the last seconds of the film. It gets two out of ten because of the drunken hillbilly and the baby doll aliens.
