Review of Alien (1979) by Eric R — 01 Oct 2014
I watched Alien for the first time in years and years. There are elements of the movie that are so well done. The tension, darkness, empty sound with just a heartbeat like pulse throughout. It reminded me a bit of Jaws in that many of the scariest moments are the anticipation of the Alien, not the actual Alien.
With that said, some of the acting was just *bad*. I think I am still an Aliens guy over Alien. I'm gonna watch that again next.
