A huge factor of Sci-Fi and horror in a way you wouldn't believe. Yea the alien is horrifying, but is only seen a few times. The true reason why this is a perfect horror movie is its compressed setting and premise, Space.
You feel every inch is toying with you and makes you feel like somebody is watching you. A true horror classic and a true help towards the sci-fi genre.
