Review of Alien (1979) by Keanu V — 12 Apr 2013
A very brilliant film. This first being the best of the series. Imagine back then, in 1979, usually the word "alien" wouldn't mean much to the public audience other than "little green guy with a big head". This of course, delivered much more than that and many twists. I would have been quite amazed, and horrified to be one of the first to see this film back in 1979. Ridley Scott is definitely a great directer, H.R. Giger is a great surreal artist and for the Xenomorph design, the cast are pretty good actors as well to make this movie much more amazing.
Overall, this is a good example of a sci-fi movie and how it should be done.
