Review of Alien (1979) by Matt G — 25 Mar 2014
Alien is a survival monster movie, with Sigourney Weaver as the resourceful hero Ripley in the forefront. Many of the Non-Ripley characters are annoying, which makes the alien murders more of a relief than a shock, but the real horror of the film comes from the spookily quiet space hip environment.
The silence maintains the fear of an alien lurking in the shadows ready to gobble up irritating space mechanics.
