Review of Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) by Peter B — 03 Jun 2016
A visual feast, a storytelling trainwreck. Alice steals the "Chronosphere" and throws underland into chaos after being told it is the only way to go back in time, only to be persued later by a villian who does the exact same thing.
..with a makeshift pile of junk. Combine this unforgivable plot hole with wildly inconsistant character motivations, a heavy-handed attempt at female empowerment, and a host of repeat characters who actually serve no function in this story, and you emerge from wonderland as bewildered as Alice was going in.
