It's a shame because you could imagine this being a universe prime for creative exploration, but two films in, it's a dead duck. Not for the performances given but for the missteps in creative direction.
We're meant to feel something for Depp's Mad Hatter but instead, he's creepy and off-putting. Sacha Baron Cohen was a standout for me.
