You're going to want to save yourself the time (haha) and go on and skip this movie. It's nowhere near the same as the other movie! OMG what they thinking?!? All the same characters come back to this movie and they for some ungodly reason got the not so brilliant idea it would be a good thing to cast that twit Sacha Baron Cohen who can't act if someone rigged him as a puppet and pulled the strings for him! IMO he ruined the entire thing for me but if you can get past him since I am heavily opinionated, maybe you will like this movie better than I. Truthfully I stayed away from everything that mentioned the movie and had no idea he was in it.

OK onto the review, basically there's a crisis in both Alice's world because of her mother being a complete idiot and allowed access to family's property, business and money. Alice's has been delayed in returning and by the time she does, her idiotic mama has lost everything. Hamish (from AIW) has married and upon Alice's return she attends a party (in some ridiculously outrageously colorful outfit) hoping to persuade him to allow her to use the ship again and get their home back. Since she was delayed so long and he's such a (fill in choice insult) he says no. Not only is there trouble for Alice but Hatter is even more mad than usual and it's causing him to have health problems. He refuses everyone and everything. At the party at Hamish's house just as she's about to be caught snooping, she jumps through a large mirror and winds up in Wonderland to everyone's relief. Only Hatter doesn't believe she's really herself after telling her what the problem is. Thus begins the rest of the story. It's an adventure about saving her friend The Mad Hatter from going completely mad in Wonderland and her mama a place to live safe from ruin and despair in reality. Alot of the background and history of AIW is told and I REALLY ENJOYED the way they did that. The Red Queen is back from AIW and you'll never guess what caused her to hate her sister so much for all those years! ALL that hatred, the Jabberwocky, all those heads, it's MAD!
