Tim Burton tried to make this movie work, but just couldn't quite pull it off. Depp is fun to watch, dancing around the scenes while making an ass out of himself, while Anne Hathaway plays a roll she can't quite fit into.
There is enough eye candy to keep you awake, but just like movies of kin, eye candy isn't enough.
