Review of Alice in Wonderland (2010) by James T — 15 Mar 2013

I really wanted this to be amazing. I really did. But unfortunately Alive in Wonderland reminds me of another certain blockbuster that came out recently that was just simply a fun average movie. But unlike Avatar, this story didn't even need to have a story.

It could've been just a visual treat and people would've loved it. Unfortunately it takes a "Alice needs a destiny" approach and turns into a predictable 3 act action movie. It's not bad but it doesn't do anything that you haven't seen before.

But just like with Avatar, it is amazing to just watch the visuals. It's tolerable but certainly not what I was hoping for. It's a fun movie if you aren't looking for anything particularly deep, but it wasn't the satisfying 3D epic I was hoping for.

So Hollywood, I'm still waiting for the first great 3D movie. Let's see what's next. Come on "Clash of the Titans" Do it before "Tron Legacy" has to save the day!
