Review of Alice in Wonderland (1951) by Mac J — 02 Jan 2013
This ranks at #2 on my list of favorite films, it's my second overall favorite film right behind "Pinocchio". My best friend looks just like Alice, so that's one reason I love this film.
Speaking of Alice, the main character herself is one of the best Disney heroines ever. She's curious, polite, nice, but can be pushed her to limits. I love how she tries to join the fun, but finds herself too frustrated.
She's also very logical, which makes a lot of sense, because this is a film where logic almost has no place. I also like how she's trying to figure out what's the right to do and what's the right thing to say to the Queen of Hearts because she knows that at any second, her head could be gone.
My favorite characters are the Mad Hatter, March Hare, and the Chesire Cat. I love how you never know if they're on the good guy side or the bad guy side, and even more so when not even they know it.
It's like they're on moodswings or something. This film is creative and has so much imagination in it, and that's where the films shines. Overall, this is the best version of the film.
