Review of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) by Max W — 27 Jun 2007

I'm not sure why I deviate so far from the general opinion on this film-after all I am a Scorsese fan. I found almost everything after the move to be completely annoying. I don't care if Burstyn won an academy award for her role, she needed to shut up.

If I had to see her cry or scream for one more minute, I was going to start crying. Everything about the characters annoyed me. I was completely unsympathetic to Burstyn, because she often placed her self in the postions she was in.

I don't know, normally I'm not finicky but this film is just plain bad-contrary to the hundreds of thousands of people that would be happy to disagree.
